Schedule & Pay

Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM | $19+ per hour

Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience with gasoline, diesel, or natural gas engines (e.g., Honda, Kohler, Hatz, Briggs & Stratton, Vanguard, etc.)
  • Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting engine systems
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must have own tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail


Preferred Experience (Not Required):



  • Technical training or certification in small/industrial engine repair preferred
  • Experience with OEM engine integrations and custom builds
  • Familiarity with emission-compliant engine systems (Tier 4, Stage V, etc.)
  • Understanding of engine control modules (ECMs), sensors, and electronic diagnostics
  • Prior experience handling manufacturer warranty claims
  • Forklift certification or crane/hoist operation



Engine Service Technician Summary

Be responsible for the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial engines, as well as supporting customers through warranty evaluations, technical support, and custom OEM engine builds.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform pre-delivery inspections and functional testing of engines and components.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or fuel-related engine issues.
  • Approve or deny warranty claims based on manufacturer guidelines and inspection findings.
  • Provide over-the-phone technical assistance to customers, dealers, and OEM partners.
  • Build and configure custom OEM engine packages to meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed, including test data, inspection reports, and warranty decisions.
  • Read and interpret engine schematics, service manuals, and wiring diagrams.
  • Operate hand tools and diagnostic instruments effectively.
  • Communicate with supervisors and engineering staff to report issues and suggest improvements.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
