Hours: Monday-Friday 7a-3:30p Location: 1800 Orleans Street, Baltimore, MD Pay rate: $22 per hour Requirements Serve as a central point of contact and communication for patients, families, visitors and members of the healthcare team in patient care units, enhances Hopkins' customer service. Address a broad spectrum of needs, and/or concerns in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. Perform a variety of customer service and unit-operations activities to assist medical, nursing, and administrative staff to meet unit, department, and institutional needs. Use information/computer system and programs. Substantial interpersonal skills needed to frequently interact with patients, families, and medical staff and to address a variety of concerns and request. Consistently initiate and build positive relationships (patients, families, visitors, and staff) using JHH customer service standards. Recognize and/or anticipate the needs of customers and respond accordingly. Ability to independently manage and prioritize new situations, multiple tasks and activities. Identifies situations that require service interventions and is able to act and/or refer to the appropriate personnel. Makes recommendations for problem resolution and process improvement. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous work experience in healthcare or office setting. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, proficiency with presentation and spreadsheet software preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
