Direct to Consumer Brand Specialist

As a Direct to Consumer (DTC) Brand Specialist for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates' Oregon Brands-A to Z Wineworks, Erath, and REX HILL-you will play a pivotal role in shaping and elevating the customer experience. You'll develop and execute innovative brand strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, deepen customer engagement, and foster brand loyalty. Our DTC Brand Specialist is someone who is both strategic and hands-on, detail-oriented yet creative, and eager to grow with a company that values innovation and teamwork

The DTC Brand Specialist translates brand-driven creative visions into actionable, result-oriented campaigns while building meaningful connections with our guests and internal teams. Your success will be measured through key metrics, including DTC sales, customer retention, and internal brand alignment.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Brand Strategies



  • Create comprehensive brand activations that build awareness, drive engagement within Direct to Consumer channels, and deliver comprehensive touchpoints across all aspects of consumer experience (including web and social, email, events, experiences, etc.).
  • Provide end to end campaign management, serving as project manager to ensure required elements are defined for and delivered by resource experts including marketing, brand, and design.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the brand(s) and serve as an ambassador and role model.
  • Conduct market, industry, and community research to inform strategy development.


Collaboration with Teams



  • Lead and foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful delivery of campaigns.
  • Engage with the wider community to furthering brand strategies - including community partners, industry associations, hospitality groups, and strategic market club members.
  • Partner closely with marketing partners to ensure Direct to Consumer strategy and brand activations closely align with the overall brand identity standards and commercial strategy.


Monitoring, Assessment, and Optimization



  • Conduct post campaign review and assessment to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that the company brand objectives are effectively communicated and are resonating with target audience.


Wine Club, Tasting Room and Trade Hosting Support



  • Participate in and represent the brands at retail, wine club, and trade events.
  • Engage with wine club members to understand member experiences, and identify engagement and retention opportunities.
  • Assist with Tasting Room operations and service as needed. Provide exceptional wine presentations and guest education, and ensure all winery visitors receive VIP experiences.
  • Educate DTC team members on Oregon Brands, luxury service, and brand activation campaigns.


Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in marketing communications, marketing research, and events-driven marketing roles.
  • Prior experience in the wine industry, hospitality, or branding and engagement roles in relationship-focused luxury brands highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of and competency using principles of project management required.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with project management applications such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, or Trello.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer, and lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
  • Requires onsite presence at the REX HILL winery campus and some travel to offsite locations.
  • Must be able to obtain an OLCC license.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct.


Your Compensation:

$68,000 - $72,000 per year plus incentive program eligibility
