What to Expect We are seeking an energetic and engaging Incoming Quality Supervisor to lead one of the first teams of incoming Quality Technicians for our incoming production area during our night shift operations. You will exercise your exceptional people skills to delegate tasks and guide personnel in developing one of Tesla's newest Manufacturing teams. Your proven record of driving improvements and agility in responding to quality excursions will enable you to set the tone for the rest of the team. In addition, your strong collaborative skills allows you to bring cross functional teams together to efficiently solve complex problems. Your presence will bring structure to the team and bring the best performance out of each of your employees. What You'll Do Delegate responsibilities and manage schedules for a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors Provide coaching and training to Technicians and Inspectors Escalate quality issues with Management and Engineering as needed Assist Quality Technicians and Inspectors on in-line decision making Provide regular reports & updates to Quality team and Management Assist in management of material disposition Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations What You'll Bring Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience 2+ years of leadership experience with a team of 10 or more employees Certification in a quality-related field such as six-sigma, TQM, or equivalent a plus Familiarity with measurement system analysis (Crossed/Nested/Attribute Gage R&R) and data analytical techniques like Two-Sample T-Test, ANOVA, Multi-Vari Analysis Familiarity with physical IQC tools like Keyence Digital Microscope (VR, VK, IM, VHX), Zeiss CMM (Contura, DuraMax) Knowledgeable in tolerance stackups Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
