This is a 2nd Shift role the work schedule is: Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm Eastern Time


SUMMARY


The Inventory Control Clerk performs manual and computerized inventory control tasks including: physical cycle counts, verification, reconciliation and documentation of inventory records, and other similar duties to ensure the accuracy of raw, in-process, finished goods and packaging inventory.


JOB DUTIES



  • Reads, interprets and analyzes records and inventory control system data in conducting a regular program of cycle counts of all materials in inventory and in the verification of counts' accuracy.
  • Assists Production with immediate response to disruptions caused by inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs regularly scheduled cycle counts of packaging, raw, in-process and finished goods.
  • Assists in maintaining accuracy of the inventory in the system.
  • Researches discrepancies by examining transactions, documents, material movement procedures and communicating with interested people. Collaborates with others to determine the root cause and recommend preventative action.
  • Acts as a liaison between Inventory Control, Purchasing and Production to promptly correct or prevent
    materials disruptions.
  • Conducts audit counts during scheduled physical inventory. Performs special inventories and audits as required.
  • Maintains established quality and quantity standards. Follows prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.
    Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School or GED equivalent
  • One (1) year of inventory related experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Must have basic math skills.

  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard
    physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
    * While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-
    standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
    * Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
    * This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
