Overview

Gilbane is seeking a Senior Recruiter with deep expertise in real estate development talent acquisition to lead strategic recruiting efforts for our Development company. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a consultative, fast-paced environment and understands the nuances of sourcing top-tier talent in land acquisition, finance, construction, design, and property management.

We're looking for someone to play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce behind transformative development projects with an ability to identify and engage talent in specialized areas like P3, capital markets, and asset management to directly impact Gilbane Development Company's growth and innovation.



Responsibilities

    • Own the full-cycle recruiting strategy for Gilbane Development Company, aligning national talent acquisition efforts with current and future business needs.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and business leaders, offering market intelligence and tailored recruiting plans for high-impact roles.

    • Build and maintain targeted pipelines of experienced professionals across key real estate development functions, with a focus on diversity, quality, and readiness.

    • Lead strategic initiatives and mentor junior recruiters (Recruiter I and II), fostering scalable practices for service-level through executive hiring.

    • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor movements, bringing real-time market insights to influence hiring decisions.

    • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position and conducts regular follow-ups with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
    • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system and post openings in other appropriate venues.
    • Manage the use of firms inclusive of staffing agencies and external search firms familiar with the real estate development industry, including contract management and negotiation.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    • Travel up to 25% may be required including meetings with business leaders, real estate development sites, university career fairs, and industry networking events.


Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
* 5-7+ years' experience recruiting experience, preferably within real estate development, with strong market knowledge of real estate development trends and talent availability.
* Or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong market knowledge of real estate development trends and talent availability across regional markets.
* Flexible to work in a hybrid model, with three days per week onsite.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Knowledge of recruiting principles and best practices, with the drive to own the full recruiting process from start to finish.
* Customer service oriented, with exceptional communication skills
* Demonstrated understanding of the Real Estate Development marketplace, including sub-regional markets like Portfolio, Property and Asset Management, Capital Markets and P3, is highly preferred
* Strong listening and facilitation skills with the ability to build consensus and influence leaders at all levels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Self-motivated, flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment
* Highly organized, with ability to lead and manage multiple simultaneous requisitions and internal team initiatives
* Ability to work in a team environment, build strong relationships, influence without direct authority, and build credibility and confidence at all levels
* Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems such as ICIMS, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools, and data analytics tools
* Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment including but not limited to OFCCP, EEO/AAP/VETS requirements

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $101,200.00 - $160,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
