Description
We are hiring a Planning and Forecasting Specialist to ensure accurate and timely planning and forecasting of Designtex orders to establish and maintain an effective customer experience.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Use of MRP capabilities in Epicor through set parameters, minimums, and safeties
  • Responsible for Selected supplier planning on a multi day basis
  • Responsible for planning those suppliers for Future date review
  • Responsible for planning of MFG parts
  • Focus communication of parts that need attention due to unexpected activity that will be projected to leave the part in a service shortfall before backorders happen.
  • Continual evaluation of parts for change suggestions including PO increases, decreases and cancelations.
  • Able to understand product lead times and work within product capacity constraints.
  • Back up Planning Director/Manager and Material Planner as needed
  • Focus and review on specific programs as needed.
  • Mentor and guide Material planner with BTO planning, MFG process and issues as needed
  • Continually adjust planning philosophies as dictated by Manager to meet Inventory, service and fill rate goals
  • Review previous days orders for mistakes, issues or opportunities to improve service or planning

Who You Are:

Thorough knowledge of plant and supplier product and capacity constraints who establishes strong internal and external networks. Manages production loads to enable optimum production levels and collaborates with assigned team and across department interfacing with suppliers and other functional organizations with routine frequency anticipating and effectively responding to the needs of the customer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business-related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in forecasting, planning and supply chain
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • MRP system experience (Epicor or SAP preferred)
  • Experience in the use of Advanced Data Handling programs such as Microsoft Access, Power Bi, Power Query, Power Automate

Desired Skills and Experience

  • APICS certification a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to handle multi-problem situations within a limited timeframe.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately with no direct supervision.

The annual base salary range for this position is $78,000-$122,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
