Job Description TEKsystems is seeking motivated Cable Technicians to support cabling and infrastructure upgrades across schools in Hamblin County, TN. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on structured cabling projects including CAT6 and fiber installations. Technicians will work alongside experienced professionals and have the chance to grow within a reputable company. The project runs through the summer with potential for permanent hire based on performance. What You'll Do * Pull CAT6 cable and terminate jacks * Create cable pathways using J-hooks and cable trays * Terminate network cabling efficiently * Assist with punch-down and rack/stack tasks * Support cabling in new portable structures and infrastructure renovations * Perform some outdoor tasks as needed * Follow construction drawings and blueprints * Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety standards What You Bring * Experience with hand tools and basic construction tasks * Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings * Comfortable working in active school environments and outdoors * Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability * Must have reliable transportation * Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 10 and Lift Certifications * Must have own snip pouch Nice to Have * Experience with punchdown, rack and stack, or security systems * Background in construction or low-voltage cabling * Interest in long-term career growth in cabling or infrastructure Why Apply? * Join a growing company that values its employees * Gain hands-on experience in structured cabling and fiber installations * Opportunity for full-time employment based on performance * Work in a team-oriented environment with career and financial growth potential Work Environment * School campuses throughout Hamblin County, TN * Mix of indoor and outdoor work * Attire: Collared shirt, jeans (no holes), closed-toe leather shoes or boots Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
