Salary Grade: T24 Salary Range: $35,600 - $50,000 Learn more about the "T" salary structure here: https://careers.temple.edu/sites/careers/files/documents/T_Salary_Structure.pdf Position Summary: The FT Literacy Instructor II is responsible for providing comprehensive academic enrichment services, including GED, HiSET, CASAS and college entrance preparation. test-taking strategies and exposure to related resources and services. The candidate assists students with making decisions that positively affect educational progress toward goal attainment; works directly with advanced-level participants; and is responsible for collecting, documenting, and evaluating attendance and assessment data for programmatic purposes. Must demonstrate the ability to teach, motivate, and relate positively to adult learners; learn and apply educational tools, websites, resources, and in-person and virtual technologies effectively; enter data electronically in a timely manner, and be able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries as deemed appropriate when working with students. This is an in-person, grant-funded position reporting to the Associate Director of Adult Education. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in education, Adult Education, TESOL, or related field and at least two years of experience working with academically and socially challenged adult populations. At least one year of experience teaching adult literacy classes. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities:
