Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, is seeking a talented professional to join our team and fill the role of WebApp Software Engineer. STC provides software and infrastructure support.

The candidate should be capable to work independently as a contributor to a cross-sector software development team. He or she should exhibit expertise in: industry best practices for software development, with proficiency in Java and Python implementing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services - (Azure Static WebApp/Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure AI Services) designing, deploying and maintaining RESTful APIs for cloud-based applications integrating APIs with front-end applications using React or Next. The candidate should be capable of working in a cross-functional team designing, developing and collaborating. Application development includes integration with commercial and cloud-based software through REST or Open APIs. Occasionally, customer facing demonstrations of software technology are required. Additional duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate should be capable to work independently as a contributor to an agile AI/ML software development team. He or she should exhibit expertise in:

• Strong software architecting and programming skills, with proficiency in Java and Python
• Developing software applications interfaces (APIs), integrating software applications
• Data Science and ML frameworks
• MLOps (Prompt Engineering, Data Cleaning, RAG, deploying LLMs)
• Cloud and Information Technology principals including cloud based architectures, database architectures, and data sharing protocols

The candidate should also demonstrate a general understanding of or interest in gaining expertise in:

• Technical management skills
• Systems Engineering processes, methods, and tools as applied to systems lifecycles
• Database Deployment
• Digital Engineering methodologies and tooling
• Model Based Systems Engineering
• CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools

Required Skills

• BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
• Web Developer - React, Next (5+ years)
• Software Developer - Java, Python, Git (7+ years)
• Database and Web Database Administration and Integration
• Graph-Based/Data Science Skills (PyGraph, Pydantic)
• Cloud Computing - Azure cloud infrastructure experience: hosting WebApps, RestAPIs, Authentication, etc. (5+ years)
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance
