Job Description

Danfoss in Shawnee, OK is seeking a Maintenance Technician II. This position provides support to Plant Operations


in installing, repairing and maintaining Production equipment throughout the Plant under instruction or with the


assistance of the Maintenance Manager and/or Lead Maintenance Technician.



This is a 2nd Shift position.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:



  • Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems to the faulty component under the instruction of the Maintenance Manager and/or Lead Maintenance Technician.


  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.


  • Repair and Maintain CNC Machines.
  • Install and maintain hydraulic circuits in Industrial equipment.
  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of all industrial production equipment.
  • Follow all Safety Rules, including PPE and OSHA.

Background and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing industries is required
  • Two (2) years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical or electronic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic/ hydraulic drawings, schematics, and engineering blueprints to determine problem root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments is a plus.
  • Physically capable of prolonged standing and working in positions that require bending while performing maintenance.
  • Must be well-organized and can prioritize tasks.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of advanced processing and equipment around troubleshooting electrical components.
  • Able to operate computer and system interface programs and analyze production information.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks; demonstrate solid work performance with a high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Strong team member, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
  • Proficiency with software applications, Microsoft Office, Excel as well as specific programs of SAP and Maximo, able to create reports and document procedures.
