What You Will Do

This role provides project/program level leadership to drive projects of varying size and complexity from project idea through initiation to closure with cross-functional project teams. Responsibilities include managing projects in the OCC PIT system (Project Intake Tracker), tracking the project through the approval prioritization process, working with the business stakeholders to track project benefit, and driving prioritization of project across the organization. This role provides subject matter expertise to drive project prioritization & approval, benefit planning, financial tracking as well as driving year over year improvement to support the OCCs desire to continuously improve the EPMO office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses both traditional Waterfall and Agile project/product approaches to execute projects and achieve business outcomes

  • Leverages technical expertise to drive day-to-day aspects of a project to deliver high-quality, on time, on budget outcomes within the project scope

  • Follows OCC standard project management guidelines, including OCC project management checklists, controls and templates

  • Provides subject matter expertise on project initiation and planning activities to structure the project, including facilitating the definition of project objectives, benefit, scope and financial tracking

  • Provides technical guidance to one or more project teams in detailed planning activities related to the tracking of financials across all projects

  • This role will run executive level project prioritization/conflict meetings

  • Responsible to continuously improve the financial tracking of projects within the EPMO office.

  • Responsible to track project financials across all EPMO Projects to ensure we are as accurate as possible.

  • Responsible to support departmental budget tracking, billing/invoicing and face off to the finance department to ensure we are in lock step with financial information related to the EPMO Department as well as the EPMO project financials.

  • Works with project team to identify project risks, track and resolve issues, and eliminate project challenges as needed

  • Supports monitoring and reporting on the progress of projects within PIT process, Project Financials, Project Benefit tracking and Department spend

  • Communicates clear, concise, and accurate project financial status to all appropriate project stakeholders

  • Captures, communicates and escalates Risks, Issues, Actions and decisions as needed to keep project on track.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

[Required] Expert familiarity with project management methodologies

[Required] Must have experience tracking project spend in complex environment

[Required] Proven ability to manage one or more projects in various stages of the project life cycle from initiation through completion

[Required] Proven ability to contribute consistently and positively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment

[Required] Proven ability to facilitate project alignment between business and technical teams

[Required] Analytical problem-solver

[Required] Self-directed and detail oriented

[Required] Highly effective organization and planning skills

[Required] Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation skills

[Required] Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships

Technical Skills

[Required] Expert experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint (or similar PPM tool)

[Required] Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

[Required] Expert experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence

[Preferred] Expert knowledge of application development and testing processes

Certificates or Licenses

[Required] Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

[Preferred] Agile Certification or equivalent

Education and/or Experience

[Required] Bachelor's degree in business, technical or financial discipline required

[Preferred] Masters degree in Information Systems Management or equivelant

[Required] 10+ years of experience in project management or project leadership role

Compensation

  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
  • In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
  • We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on www.theocc.com/careers
  • All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.

Salary Range

$151,100.00 - $220,700.00

Incentive Range

18% to 25%

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
