General Maintenance Worker - Electrical

Tessera is seeking a dedicated and skilled General Maintenance Worker with a positive attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain hazardous material satellite accumulation areas. Set up appointments for removal and verify materials are stored and labeled properly.
- Conduct, maintain, order, and receive parts/ equipment inventory. Deliver materials and equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-work job walks to assess equipment needed.
- Coordinate access and scheduling with customer.
- Maintain accurate service records for vehicles, lifts and specialty tooling.
- Be a team player willing to work with all departments to assure customer satisfaction. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with representatives of various agencies.
- Must be knowledgeable in areas of maintenance operations, work safety and HAZMAT.
- Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Basic computer skills necessary.
- Must be able to safely use and maintain basic personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe boots, hearing protection and gloves.
- Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
- Follows all Safety Procedures and Policies.
- Must be able to work days, nights and weekends as necessary.
- May be required to use manual or power tools to complete work assignments.
- Will be required to operate various types of lifts.
- Required to be proficient with Truck and Trailer.
- Ability to work in all types of inclement weather.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain valid Forklift Certification, Aerial Man Lift Operator's Certification, and Fall Protection Authorized Person Training.
- Prior facilities maintenance and/ or inventory management experience preferred.
- Must be flexible and able to prioritize duties.
- Must be able to work cohesively as part of a team or independently when required.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace in constantly changing environments.
- Ability to learn a wide variety of building and general maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high places.
- Must be able to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.
- Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.
Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
