We are seeking a warm, welcoming and highly organized Receptionist to join our New York office. As the first point of contact for clients, visitors and staff, you'll play a key role in creating a positive and professional experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates clearly, provides a high level of customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills and be capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively with others. Regular hours will be 10:00 am - 6:00 pm ET. This position reports to the Office Administrator.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet clients and visitors with a friendly professional demeanor
  • Answer and direct incoming calls with accuracy and courtesy
  • Enforce firm security protocols, ensuring all guests are registered, identified and properly escorted
  • Coordinate workspace requests for visiting guests
  • Stay informed about firm departments and personnel to connect callers efficiently
  • Schedule and manage conference rooms using Event Management software, including arrangements for video conferencing and tech setup
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as invoice submission, time entry, preparing daily visitor list and greeting guests during office events

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of customer service or reception experience in a large office environment, preferably in a professional services firm
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including tactful interaction with other professionals
  • Friendly, professional, attitude with strong commitment to client service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities with grace
  • Reliable, punctual and eager to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The full-time base annual salary for this position in the New York City market is expected to range between $48,000 and $52,000.This range represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for a position in New York City. Salaries in other markets will vary depending on market data. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
