WHAT THIS ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
The Brand Experiences Manager plays a key role in executing strategic, consumer-facing events that bring the Hallmark brand to life in immersive and emotionally resonant ways. This role manages two event consultants and is responsible for delivering high-profile experiences such as the Hallmark Christmas Experience, the Hallmark Christmas Cruise, and future brand activations that deepen consumer engagement and drive business results. They will collaborate closely with brand experience leadership, senior stakeholders, and external partners to ensure every experience reflects Hallmark's iconic identity and delivers measurable results. Key responsibilities include:



  • Strategic Planning & Leadership: Partner with brand experience leadership to develop strategic plans for revenue-generating consumer events that align with brand and business goals.
  • Event Execution & Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of large-scale, immersive brand experiences. Make informed decisions on logistics, vendor coordination, programming, and on-site operations to ensure flawless delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor two event consultants, providing clear direction, support, and accountability throughout the execution process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure alignment and seamless execution across all touchpoints.
  • Budget & Performance Management: Support budget oversight; track KPIs, evaluate event performance, and apply insights to improve future execution.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for senior leaders, business partners, and vendors-communicating progress, resolving issues, and ensuring transparency.
  • Operational Excellence: Apply best practices and internal learnings to drive efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement in event delivery.


This role is essential to Hallmark's future as it ensures that strategic brand experiences are executed with excellence-strengthening consumer relationships, expanding brand reach, and reinforcing Hallmark's leadership in meaningful connection.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years professional work experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in event development, brand experiences, and or management



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume will stand out if you have:



  • Experience leading, managing and developing a team (e.g., direct reports).
  • Experience with online registration and event application development.
  • Strong strategic thinking and visionary planning capabilities, with the ability to execute complex projects that involve multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, including the ability to translate complex business strategies into clear and impactful messaging.
  • Solid understanding of various, complex audiences and the nuanced, authentic ways the Hallmark brand comes to life for each audience.
  • Proven record of leading complex projects with multiple business partners and external stakeholders
  • Business acumen and the ability to present plans (including a financial business case) and opportunities with individuals at higher levels in the organization
  • Exhibit corporate and interpersonal savvy and confidence leading projects and partners under tight timelines and high-pressure situations.
  • Event or project management certification
  • Prior experience organizing branded consumer experiences and programs
  • Exemplary communication (verbal, written, consulting) and organization skills
  • Commands a fast paced, high volume of change environment requiring real-time adjustment and problem solving
  • Effectively works with diverse audiences
  • Personal leadership skills: self-motivated, high degree of personal accountability, leads beyond their role, resilient and positive attitude



ADDITIONAL DETAILS



  • This position is based out of Hallmark's headquarters in Kansas City, MO. Candidates who are not local to the Kansas City metropolitan will be required to relocate. Some relocation assistance may be provided.
  • This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from both your residence in the Kansas City metropolitan area and Hallmark's newly remodeled headquarters building. In office/on-site time will be required as needed for events, team/partner meetings, etc.
