Position Description

The primary objective of the Project Manager position is to support Product Safety (PS) Department's mobile and home appliance business by conducting risk management activities. This may include but is not limited to: project creation, monitoring, reporting, acting as a liaison with various teams, communicate with vendors both internally and externally, proactive risk assessments and detections.

The goal of the Project Manager is to lead various projects and support initiatives on-time, in-scope in a time sensitive environment created to protect the company and its customers. To achieve the highest performance, the person in this position is expected to maintain effective and timely communication within the Product Safety Team, legal and public relations stakeholders within the department, cross-department and corporate HQ in US and Korea, when applicable.

Responsibilities:



  • Generate reporting and data trend analysis on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Weekly review and monitoring of claims for proactive risk detection
  • Ensure SOP documentation is up to date, review for areas of opportunity, implement and execute new processes after aligning with stakeholders
  • Build and maintain carrier relationship, management and reporting
  • Review and oversee policy adherence on day-to-day operations and for BPO
  • Manage various ongoing and ad-hoc projects that may include KPIs and Metrics
  • Collaborate with project/program developers and business leads to keep projects in scope
  • Supporting the launch and monitoring of new products related to mobile
  • Perform routine administrative duties as needed; i.e., process invoices, order management etc.



Requirements



  • 1-2 years of hands-on project management within a complex global organization
  • Expertise in MS, Excel, PPT and Word
  • Proven capability to analyze data and develop a course of action
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and drive to resolution
  • Process, procedure, strategic planning and project development experience
  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Experience with product development or testing a plus
  • Experience working in a complex and wide organization and department
  • PMP certification a plus, Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus
  • Takes project ownership and possess leadership qualities with an entrepreneurial approach
  • Previous experience in mobile or consumer electronics preferred but not necessary
  • Bilingual English and Korean highly preferred

  • Able to perform complex quantitative analysis (Advanced Excel skills) to flag risk and report in timely manner



Education:

Bachelor's Degree
