The Opportunity

Join a high-impact team driving product growth and innovation at scale! The Express Data Science team is looking for a Principal Data Scientist, who thrives at the intersection of data, product, and strategy to help us unlock growth opportunities for Adobe Express.

For the next phase of Express Growth, we need a Data Science Leader that will lead Strategic Growth Levers, innovate and drive experimentation at scale, set the standard for Technical leadership and rigor within growth, and influence the broader org in the process. We need a leader for ambiguous, high-impact growth bets-connecting user behavior to business outcomes, while managing multiple workstreams together.

What You'll Do

  • Identifying Growth Levers using Data - Lead growth opportunity identification across user lifecycle driving product engagement, improving retention and premium enablement.
  • Build the next generation of experimentation beyond A/B tests to a fast, scalable and rigorous system - and synthesize takeaways across tests into durable product direction within the growth and data science. Partner with other data teams to innovate.
  • Introduce new technologies and techniques within experimentation for the product, enhance experimentation strategy for Express, and drive efficiency and measurement at scale.
  • Sets the bar for measurement quality, signal detection, and interpretability of results.
  • Work with cross functional teams within express to bring consistency to experimentation architecture, success metric definitions, and analytic tooling.
  • Ensures the team scales not just in size, but also in maturity and decision making
  • Lead high-priority analytics projects that influence product direction and business strategy.
  • Analyze user engagement, retention, and conversion data to surface actionable insights.
  • Design and analyze tests to guide product development and optimize user experiences.
  • Mentor junior team members and elevate data culture across the org.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in product data science.
  • Proven experience a
  • Deep fluency in SQL and proficiency in Python or R.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of industry standards - Experience building causal and predictive models and working with large-scale behavioral datasets.
  • Experience leading technical teams and driving data rigor
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Tableau / Power BI
  • A strategic approach with a bias for action and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills-you simplify complexity and drive clarity.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $145,600 -- $276,400 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
