Job Summary	Job Summary Applies and demonstrates a mastery of technical skills and advanced knowledge in overhaul and repair of parts, components and complete subsystems for operational aircraft applications. Performs any of the detailed work operations required to be completed in these areas. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Performs disassembly, overhaul and repair of parts, components and subsystems for in-service aircraft applications that are of substantial variety and complexity, requiring considerable experience and judgment to plan and accomplish. May independently adapt techniques and tools to meet special needs and serves as a technical resource to others. Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Reads and interprets planning, blueprints, sketches, Engineering Orders or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of removal, repair, replacement and installation of parts and components of mechanical aircraft subsystems. Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft operational mechanical systems, components and structures including rigging and plumbing and electrical wiring harnesses. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop or back drill hole patterns for access doors, installation or replacement of sheet metal parts or other like applications. Trims to fit, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces. Bolts, rivets, screws, clips, seals, or bonds component parts to assemble products. Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints. Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.
Minimum Qualifications	Education Requirements Other. No formal education required Preferred Vocational / Technical. Technical school related to aircraft or manufacturing processes. If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement. Experience Requirements 6 year(s) Aero-structure mechanic, bonder, or evaluator, or equivalent combination of education and experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is required. Skills and Competencies Reads and interprets OEM specs and overhaul manuals. Reads and comprehends engineering drawings and technical work instructions, technical manuals issued by OEMs and customers. Develops and fabricates shop aids to perform specialized operations. Demonstrates competency in the use of standard assembler and mechanics hand tools, such as drill motors, rivet guns, bucking bars, die grinders, rivet squeeze, layout scales, scribes, center punches, templates, precision measuring instruments, voltmeters, ohmmeters and other like tools, cranes, hoists, work platforms, tooling jigs and fixtures.

Physical Requirements	Physical Requirements Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Work Environment	Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can vary from loud to a more moderate level.
Supervision	Supervision The level of supervision required described here is representative of that which must be met by a Stakeholder to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Works independently and sets own priorities and objectives when consultation with management. Obtains management approval as directed.
