Summary: Responsible for developing, implementing, and leading youth-focused health and fitness programs, promoting physical wellness and healthy lifestyle choices among children and adolescents through fitness initiatives, educational workshops, and community outreach.
Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions-Design and oversee health and fitness programs for youth, focusing on physical activity, nutrition, and overall wellness. Tailor programs to meet the needs of various age groups and health conditions. -Foster a supportive and motivating environment for participants, encouraging active participation in fitness activities, setting personal goals, and adopting healthy lifestyle habits. -Work closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to integrate health and fitness programs into patient care plans. Address any medical or physical limitations of participants. -Develop and deliver educational sessions and workshops on topics such as exercise, nutrition, and mental health to help youth understand the importance of fitness in maintaining long-term health. -Regularly assess program effectiveness through participant feedback, attendance, and health outcomes. Implement changes to enhance program impact and meet evolving community needs. -Build and maintain relationships with local schools, community centers, and other organizations to promote youth participation in health and fitness programs. Organize events and collaborate with partners to expand the program's reach. -Ensure all activities comply with safety guidelines and healthcare regulations. Oversee the proper use of fitness equipment and address any safety concerns. Education - CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
