Job Description:

The School District of Milton is seeking applicants for an Agriculture Teacher (1.0 FTE) position at Milton High School and Milton Middle School.

Starting from August 19, 2025, this role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future success of our students. We offer a competitive starting salary of $50,600 for a 190-day contract, open to candidates holding a Bachelor's degree. Additional compensation is available for candidates with prior public education teaching experience and advanced degrees. The salary package includes an annual hard-to-fill stipend of $3,500. Our comprehensive benefits package further enhances this offering.

The Agriculture Science Educator will work in the state-of-the-art 32,000 square feet STEM addition at Milton High School, featuring innovative learning spaces for Science, Math, Technology Education, Agricultural Science, Robotics, Computer Science, and Engineering. The School District of Milton is dedicated to utilizing these facilities to prepare students as future problem solvers. Moreover, Milton High School hosts one of the largest FFA chapters in Wisconsin, supported by three advisors. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to serve as one of these advisors, collaborating closely with our strong FFA Alumni chapter to support student development

Qualification:

The School District of Milton is seeking an individual who will engage students in the learning process. Candidates should have an outstanding ability to engage high school students and inspire them to explore the field of agriculture. Candidates should be organized, flexible, and have strong communication skills. Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions may be available, including an opportunity for extended agriculture opportunities over the summer. The candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues as a positive and substantial contributor to the school and district while assuming a leadership role in the implementation of district initiatives. Candidates should be proficient in co-teaching and co-planning with special education teachers.

It is required that applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in Agriculture - 1200 and have the appropriate position code for 9th - 12th grade students.
