SUMMARY The Regulatory Quality Control Team Lead is responsible for the supervision of overall compliance with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act, and Flood Regulations from National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This position involves monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on regulatory compliance, conducting audits, and providing guidance to internal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Additionally, this position is responsible for meeting completeness, turn time and accuracy requirements per established service level agreements, and may shift resources and responsibilities among tasks to ensure success
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides leadership for the regulatory quality control program designed to ensure continuous monitoring of loans consistent with established standards.
- Assists in the development and analysis of statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of loans.
- Assists in the development of standard reports on data integrity from the HMDA, Section 1071, and Flood Disaster Protection related to lending and banking regulations.
- Provides leadership regarding HMDA, Section 1071, and Flood Disaster Protection activities to ensure continuous control over operations and production.
- Helps plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
- Assists with the investigation of all internal customer questions and implements procedures for improvement, as needed.
- Meets with the Quality Control Manager, Regulatory Quality Control staff, and the Compliance Team regularly to confirm adherence to regulatory requirements and avoid duplication of efforts in identifying or resolving failure points identified.
- Assists in implementation and maintenance of the Regulatory procedures as needed to ensure compliance with the Bank's philosophy.
- Represents First Interstate Bank in meetings with Internal Customers, Vendors, and Regulatory agencies in a professional and responsible manner.
- Works with various Operations Managers to ensure appropriate technology are in place to accomplish the goals of the organization.
- Works with Operations System Admin to implement new tools or applications in the department.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains awareness of workflow statuses and adjusts staffing, as needed.
- Sets and tracks performance goals and quality service standards.
- Supervises the daily activities of the team to include delegation of assignments, development of work schedules to meet required timelines, and ensures training is completed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality control and assurance, data analysis and validation, risk management, and training and development.
- Strong attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of HMDA, Section 1071, and Flood Regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting software and data analysis tools.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 4-6 years experience in regulatory compliance or quality control required
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $53,000 to $82,700 per year in WA and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Additionally, this role is eligible to receive annual discretionary cash bonuses. Benefits available for this position include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hours worked which equates to approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
