Diagnostic Oncology Specialist

Commercial

We are seeking experienced DOSs with lab and pharmaceutical experience and established relationships. The Diagnostic Oncology Specialist (DOS) is a subject matter expert in biomarker testing who possesses in-depth knowledge of the lab ecosystem. The DOS provides oncology biomarker testing education calling on pathologists, oncologists, and targeted diagnostics labs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement strategically sound business plans and tactical strategies within the assigned geographic territory to achieve individual, territory and company goals
  • Engage with pathologists, oncologists, and diagnostic labs to provide expertise and recommendations on biomarker testing and its applications.
  • Work as part of the matrix team with client and account team to ensure collaboration and achievement of goals and program objectives.
  • Manage daily program activity according to defined expectations
  • On behalf of Client, via remote and live interactions with assigned HCP and targets, engaging them in in-depth testing education
  • Maintain call productivity and metrics that are required by program.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions.
  • Effectively and persuasively communicate with call audience using effective listening communication skills
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Client product(s) and program.
  • Verify and complete required data entry in CRM systems, such as details of the target's responses and any follow-through actions.
  • Regularly and timely communicate with the Program Director, members of the client matrix team, and members of various home office support teams, as required.
  • Create and maintain a positive impression with client and client's customers.
  • Prepare reports for management as needed.
  • Fully comply with all laws, regulations and Amplity's Standards of Policies, Code of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines, relevant state and federal laws and regulations and terms and conditions prescribed in the PDMA Guidelines.
  • Participate in virtual and live National, regional and district meetings and training sessions and represent client at National and/or local conventions when requested.
  • Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the manager.
  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in biomarker research and oncology diagnostics to ensure the latest industry knowledge
  • Offer training and support to medical professionals and laboratory staff on biomarker testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Provide regular and timely communication with the Program Director
  • Utilize approved tools and resources
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college required.
  • A minimum of 5 years or more experience in diagnostics, pathology, or the lab space desired.
  • Establishedrelationships in the labs within the territory
  • Oncology experience desired
  • Pharmaceutical/oncology /sales/lab experience desired.
  • Strong technical background in molecular biology, genomics, immunochemistry, or immunology desired.
  • Compliance focused.
  • The ability to travel 50%-60% a week or more as required.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Residence near a major airport.
  • Current Oncology relationships strongly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Relationships with oncologists and/or pathologists strongly preferred.

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
