Overview

Responsible for working within a commissioning team to support testing documentation, tracking and support for the team. Will be required to assist with testing as needed. Work under the direction of the Commissioning Manager with documentation, processing, and turnover.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the inspection of PV plants to specifications of construction documents
  • Assist Commissioning Teams with field testing as needed
  • Ensure site documentation is prepared for upcoming testing
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and conformity to safety procedures by all employees
  • Support the commissioning team by ensuring accurate testing documentation and efficient tracking procedures
  • Assist with testing activities as necessary, under the supervision of senior team members
  • Work closely with the Commissioning Manager to facilitate documentation processing and turnover procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain clear communication channels and ensure project objectives are met effectively
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on documentation progress and any potential issues encountered
  • Adhere to company policies and safety protocols at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Classroom education or training in photovoltaic systems preferred
  • Photovoltaic installation experience
  • One year of electrical experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10 hour, First Aid/CPR, NFPA 70E certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the MasTec's Zero Injury principles
  • Ability to read and understand electrical single line and three line diagrams
  • Ability to use a multi-meter
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office E-mail, Internet, all the company forms, and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of using Procore and Smartsheet or ability to learn
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal oversight

Working Environment:

  • When visiting jobsites the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.

  • Compensation: $21.00-$23.00/hourly, commensurate with experience
