We're looking for a strategic, forward-thinking Human Resources Business Partner to support our newly acquired business unit, Air Way. In this role, you'll help integrate and align their people practices with Atlas Copco's shared processes, culture, and resources. - Build strong, supportive relationships with your respective business units, fostering trust, collaboration, and mutual respect.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for your business units, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Support talent development through inclusive programs, training, and assessments that drive growth and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement by collaborating on cross-functional projects, enhancing HR policies and procedures, and using employee and manager feedback to implement meaningful change.
- Partner with leaders to reinforce company culture, meet departmental goals, and drive professional accountability within the teams you support.
- Conduct compensation reviews to support internal consistency, market competitiveness, and long-term retention.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws, proactively mitigating risk and promoting ethical, legally sound practices.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of employee data across HRIS and other platforms, while identifying and introducing technology that enhances efficiency and transparency.
- Oversee pre-employment documentation and compliance processes, including background checks, drug screenings, and I-9 verification, ensuring proper documentation and retention.
- Serve as an on-site contact for safety-related matters, working closely with the safety team to maintain a secure, well-supported work environment.
- Actively support initiatives that foster a respectful and welcoming culture for all employees.
- Contribute to a collaborative HR team environment by sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices, and by supporting collective success.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, demonstrating resourcefulness, follow-through, and accountability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- While your primary support will be for the Grayling, MI location, periodic travel to other sites will be required for training, employee support, HR team-building, and special initiatives.
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience across core areas including recruitment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and employment law.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and data analysis with a demonstrated ability to leverage insights to improve HR practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with conflict resolution, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to travel nationally as needed for training, meetings, employee support, and HR team collaboration, with rare international travel possible for business purposes.

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our facility in Grayling, Michigan.
