Precise Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team onsite in Lakehurst, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience:


Duties:



  • Coordinates, integrate and assist in the management of technical efforts in the Electromechanical Launch System (EMALS)/Advanced Arresting Gear System (AAG) Systems & Logistics Branch of the FORD Class Launch and Recovery Division under the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Department being performed to ensure that identified needs are transformed into effective and life-cycle optimized systems.
  • Ensures compatibility of all functional and physical interfaces (internal and external).
  • Confirms that the system's definition and design reflects the requirements for all systems elements (hardware, software, data, facilities, etc.).
  • Ensure that engineering efforts follow the Systems Engineering process.
  • Work in a multifaceted team with many stakeholders (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, contractor, program leadership) in problem solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
  • Document solutions in relation to the technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • Prepare Operational Requirement, System Specification, evaluating proposals during the source selection process, reviewing and preparing systems engineering products such as trade studies and task analyses, and participating in EMALS/AAG design reviews.
  • Have knowledge of technologies such as linear motors, pulsed disk alternators and power conditioning and control systems as they apply to EMALS/AAG.
  • Develop new hypotheses, designs, or analytical techniques for complex subject matter utilizing critical judgment and systems engineering techniques.
  • Development and review of various technical documentation, including change management documentation, presentation materials, and white papers.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across program offices, fleet and industry stakeholders.


Required Experience:



  • Three (3) years or more experience.
  • Experience working with Systems Engineering processes or, preferably, the NAVAIR SE process.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge and viewpoints.


Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Systems or Industrial Engineering preferred)


Preferred Experience:



  • Experience in briefing technical issues to leadership, preferably to non-technical personnel.
  • Work in integrated programs that include different disciplines of engineering and/or logistics.
  • Experience leading small to medium engineering teams (2-10 personnel) in design, development, or manufacturing projects.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills along with ability to implement feedback from engineers, follow work instructions and work somewhat independently are highly desirable traits.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $66,099.20 to $115,000.00 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
