L.A. LIVE is a vibrant 4 million square foot entertainment destination located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. It is a place that truly captures the essence of the city's lively and dynamic atmosphere. L.A. It is located adjacent to Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center and features venues including The Novo, a 2,300 capacity live music venue, Peacock Theater, a 7,100-seat live theatre, a 54-story, 1001-room convention "headquarters" destination (including The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles and JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Job Summary:

The role of Operations Utility I is to be the driving force in maintaining the L.A. LIVE Campus appearance, presentation, and facility function. A member of this team will work throughout the entire campus to perform various maintenance tasks such as painting, minor carpentry, site repairs and other physical labor duties to make sure the campus is looking and functioning to its best potential. They must be capable of effectively prioritizing tasks and ability to identify and balance urgent event needs against standard day-to-day maintenance. A high level of self-sufficiency, communication, and flexible disposition are required when faced with last minute changes and requests.

Essential Functions:



  • Tile repair and replacement
  • Patching and painting
  • Hanging pictures/artwork
  • Assist with furniture/office moves, large meeting and event set-ups
  • General plumbing and the unclogging drains, toilets, etc.
  • General repair of sinks, toilets, urinals
  • Other work as required by Management


Required Qualifications:



  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and have the ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capable of working in in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of day to-day tasks
  • Ability to work well with fellow team members
  • Ability to work long irregular hours for an extended period of time as dictated by events and schedule (including nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Organizational skills and proven experience in working in a busy multi-use facility
  • Ability to perform work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Must be willing to join Local 501 Union.


Pay scale: $28.65 - $30.23

Bonus:This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

Benefits: Full-time Union: We offer a comprehensive benefits package with the Local 501 Union that includes: medical, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick time. Pension benefits offered per CBA requirements.
