Job Title: Technical Designer Summary: Client's Test & Evaluation is hiring a Lab Test Technical Designer to join the Systems Laboratory Test Design/Build team in USA - Tukwila, WA. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining engineering product definition for Systems laboratory test requirements and instrumentation of commercial and military programs. The team prepares design layouts and modifies existing designs. Develops engineering product definition. Develops statements of work, including design requirements, cost and schedule estimates. Coordinates and develops work transfer packages. Contributes to the integration of product definition across internal and external business partners to provide a functional end-product. Investigates and resolves moderately-complex manufacturing process, or engineering related issues. Verifies the accuracy of engineering data produced by others. This job supports the engineering and manufacture of company's products and programs. Tasks involved within this job group include the fabrication and testing of electrical/electronic assemblies, developing engineering product definition with design software, drafting, detailing instructions and media for fabrication needs, creating tool designs, analyzing manufacturing data to recommend changes to tooling issues, repairing and maintaining facilities equipment, designing and documenting tests of components and materials, and developing and providing technical support and training to customers. Position Responsibilities: * Participates in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Required Skills: * More than 1 year of experience with engineering and design software (i.e., CAD/3D packages (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.). Preferred Skills: * Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences, and a self-starter. * Experience in Test and Evaluation Engineering. |
