Position Summary: GoldenWolf is seeking a versatile and experienced Deputy Director of Operations to work closely with our Chief of Operations in overseeing the execution of company-wide operational objectives. This leader will help manage cross-functional project teams, ensure the on-time and high-quality delivery of services, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery processes. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on executor with a strong background in engineering, project delivery, and federal contracting. This is a high-impact position with broad exposure to operational leadership, client interaction, resource planning, and quality/safety management in a rapidly growing architecture and engineering services firm. *Ideal candidates will have a Professional Engineer (PE) license with facilities projects experience. Essential Functions: 1. Operational Management:
- Assist the Chief of Operations in developing and implementing operational strategies, goals, and objectives that align with the company's overall vision and mission.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of operations managers, project managers, and engineers to ensure effective resource allocation and utilization.
2. Project Delivery:
- Ensure projects are properly scoped, resourced, and planned to meet client requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
3. Quality and Safety:
- Develop and implement quality and safety procedures, policies, and standards that meet industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and report on quality and safety performance.
4. Leadership and Development:
- Develop and implement talent development plans to attract, retain, and develop high-performing operations staff.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to direct reports to improve their performance and achieve their career goals.

Requirements
Requirements:
- PE license with facilities projects experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture
- Minimum 8 years of experience in operations management, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of engineering services, project management principles, and quality and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, and other relevant tools and systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% for site visits, field support, and client engagement
- Ability to obtain a Tier 3 Security Clearance - CAC Card
Preferred:
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Prior experience supporting VA, DoD, or federal healthcare/engineering agencies
- Experience with organizational process improvement or operational scaling in a high-growth environment
- Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and federal acquisition/contracting compliance frameworks
Salary Description
$115,000.00 - $175,000.00
