Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University is seeking to hire a Full-time Assistant/Associate/Professor for a tenure-track, 9-month contract in Information Systems and Business Analytics beginning in Spring/Fall 2026. The position will involve teaching at the undergraduate level and helping to develop and expand existing programs, concentrations, and minors. The candidate will become a member of the Information Systems and Business Analytics faculty, which serves undergraduate and graduate majors, and engage in teaching, community service, and professional service.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • PhD or doctorate in information systems, information technology, data analytics, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited school.
  • Training or work experience in two or more of the following areas: programming, database management, systems analysis and design, data visualization or reporting, ERP, machine learning, or cloud computing. would be strongly desired.
  • A minimum of one-year University-level teaching experience and/or industry related experience
  • Record of relevant non-academic work experience or project-based learning initiatives with corporations or government entities preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to collaborate well with colleagues and consistently demonstrate high levels of collegiality.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

  • Skilled and dedicated teacher with a student-oriented teaching philosophy who is willing to develop real-world and community projects.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming language (Python or R), cloud computing certificates (Amazon or MS Azure), and Power BI Certificates are preferred.
  • Appropriate academic credentials and experience.
