Job Description

Quality Technician

PURPOSE:

This position commonly reports to the Quality Manager. Quality technicians work under the guidance of the quality manager and quality engineers. The technician is responsible for implementing, improving and enforcing the quality system at Carson City Operation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process customer returns and coordinate disposition of parts under guidance of quality engineer by using the visibility system.
  • Create work Instructions under instruction from quality engineer.
  • Review customer supplied specifications for revision and updates on customer portals.
  • Conduct internal audits of PCC process/process.
  • Conduct internal audits of PCC quality system.
  • Release product to be shipped as an authorized Quality Representative of the customer.
  • Identify and address safety considerations within the scope of their job responsibilities.
  • Support data entry relating to customer qualifications

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma.
  • Knowledge of inspection and manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft office.
  • Experience with an ERP system (Visibility, SAP, etc.).
