The Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) Coordinator supports the Intellectual Property (IP) Law Department on marketing projects and business development initiatives nationwide and works with team members to execute department and practice group-specific activities, including pitch and presentation materials, marketing content development, knowledge database management, event planning and execution, and other general business development and marketing activities. The Coordinator works across many practice groups in the IP Department and with all levels of business professionals and attorneys. This is a highly collaborative role providing our practice groups and attorneys with the support they need to generate revenue and enhance the Foley brand. Under the direct supervision of the BD&M Manager (IP) this position will also work closely with the IP BD&M Senior Specialist and the BD&M Senior Manager. Additionally, the Coordinator will collaborate with other BD&M team members across various department functions to learn and develop applicable business development and marketing systems as well as shared processes and best practices.



Responsibilities

    Coordinate blog and thought leadership scheduling and publication
  • Assist with social media promotions and help guide attorneys with LinkedIn posts
  • Help to manage and implement events, webinars, conferences/seminars, client entertainment, and client receptions, including the following: invitation development and mailing lists; RSVP tracking; internal communications regarding the event; organizing registration; creating name tags; greeting attendees upon arrival; being accessible to address guests' needs; and preparing/ordering event materials, giveaway items, and signage
  • Track and monitor all memberships and sponsorships and track ROI/ROO
  • Track a measurable ROI/ROO follow-up plan for events, both hosted and sponsored
  • Assist with capturing representative experience to showcase our expertise in key areas
  • Help to prepare pitch and proposal documents and presentation materials, including developing tailored content and maintaining up-to-date credentials
  • Assist with updating key department statistical information for pitch materials
  • Assist with research as requested
  • Draft, edit, and distribute external marketing materials and thought leadership
  • Draft, edit, and distribute e-marketing campaigns
  • Maintain intranet site for IP Department and IP practices
  • Prepare internal department- and practice-wide communications
  • Coordinate Chambers & Partners directory submissions in key areas
  • Update relevant department and practice information within the firm's CRM database, including new data entry, maintaining external mailing lists, and generating reports
  • Coordinate other business development and marketing projects, as assigned, taking ownership from inception through implementation
  • Actively participate in department meetings and trainings


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required #LI-Hybrid
  • Minimum of one (1) year of marketing, business development, or related professional services experience required
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to proactively prioritize and manage projects

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.

Milwaukee - $51,300 to $71,800

Chicago - $56,400 to $79,000
