Final Filing Date: 8/18/2025 Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs Division (Division) within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I (Specialist) will be responsible for providing a high-level expertise and assistance on a wide variety of special projects, strategic planning, and administrative functions. The SSM I (Specialist) will be required to possess a strong ability to write, problem solve, organize, communicate, and manage multiple priorities. The SSM I (Specialist) will be responsible for the coordination of critical projects on behalf of the Division working closely with the Deputy Director and Assistant Chief Counsel staff to provide guidance and consultation on sensitive projects and complex matters. Additionally, the SSM I (Specialist) will be responsible for performing the most complex and sensitive legal support work in the Division including research, policy analysis, regulatory analysis, program budget evaluations, and policy and procedure development.
