Raw Material Planner

As the Lead Raw Material Planner, you will provide procurement support which includes the purchasing of raw materials, monitoring inventory, and assuring the best shipment method while considering cost and service. Responsible for expediting, reviewing aged inventory, and providing supervisor with feedback regarding vendors. Communicate daily with suppliers, vendors and customers to ensure needs are met. Comply with Corporate procedures, health requirements, safety requirements, and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Become a super user of Oracle processes and transactions that facilitate data movement in the following areas:
  • Inventory Management
  • Planning and Scheduling
  • Batch Execution
  • Order Management
• Train others in the use of Oracle systems through 1-on-1 interactions and presentations.
• Collaborate with customer service, planning, production, quality and technical and others to create the daily work schedule for PPG or 3PL Contractor needed to support sales orders, fulfill technical lab requests, sampling demands, and replenishment of production area inventories.
• Support inventory accuracy goals and other KPI's through proper use of inventory affecting transactions.
• Reconcile the cycle counting results to achieve inventory accuracy.
• Identify and recommend solutions on transactional processes which may unfavorably improve inventory accuracy.
• Engage with process owners to support the balancing of inventories between offsite and onsite warehouses to achieve execution of the production schedule, follow FEFO practices, minimize movements, and minimize costs.
• Provide feedback on operations planning, technical, and production on material shortages and inventory issues, as applicable.
• Use BI reports to track, analyze and report on inventory, procurement and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain/operations management OR 10+ years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing facility.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain or order management or warehouse or material procurement.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and Oracle.
• Effective written and oral communications are critical to obtain expected results and to enhance the team concept of the operation.
