Position Summary
Direct and supervise kitchen service operations department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines for the Georgia Center kitchen. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Georgia Center kitchen with a staff size of 20+. Maintain and promote a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees. Works as a liaison between related departments and oversees all aspects of the kitchen to ensure high standards of food quality and eye appeal while presenting a professional and positive image of The Georgia Center.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Extensive knowledge in various cuisines and foods
  • Present a professional image of leadership
  • Possess strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on guest service
  • Direct and motivate Food and Beverage staff with varied job positions
  • Culinary degree and experience as Chef/ Sous Chef
  • Prior management experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to operate heavy duty industrial Kitchen equipment

  • Establishes and enforces nutrition and sanitation standards.
