This role will collaborate globally with Avantor's strategic marketing, product portfolio and commercial leaders, members of Avantor's global communications and brand team, as well as internal agency partners to oversee the strategy, development and execution of integrated marketing communications campaigns, content and programs. The role will also be accountable for measuring and reporting program results on a routine basis to drive optimization and visibility.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent Master's degree desirable.
  • Experience: 6+ years of communications, marketing, brand management or related agency experience with a successful track record in planning and executing global marketing communications campaigns. Minimum 2 years' experience working hands-on in digital marketing.
    • Marketing agency experience is desirable

Who you are:

  • Knowledge of Workfront and other project management systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor budgets
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing metrics, measuring impact, and optimizing campaigns, including the ability to assess specific marketing tactic attribution.
  • Client service mindset and disposition.
  • Experience working with biotechnology, pharma, med device, life sciences, or advanced technology businesses/products highly desired
  • Strong ability to build productive relationships and lead development of marketing communications strategies through interactions with diverse internal and external business partners, including company leadership across a variety of functions and geographies. A team player mentality with strong interpersonal skills is key.
  • Operates with a proactive mindset and be geared toward collaborative problem-solving.
  • Amenable to ambiguity and able to see past today; can adjust to meet market demands and business realities with creativity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-growth environment. Shares values of taking initiative, accountability, and prioritization.
  • Travel up to 10-15%

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Build, manage and strengthen supplier relationships, demonstrating the value of our marketing programming to their business.
  • Optimize and oversee the performance of marketing communication campaigns available to and on behalf of suppliers to maximize their value, including but not limited to: Avantor publications, e-commerce site promotions, e-newsletters, paid/organic social, search, display advertising, etc.
  • Follow best practices for launching new product offerings.
  • Build and implement integrated marketing communication strategic plans aligned to key initiatives and business objectives utilizing offline and digital omnichannel marketing best practices.
    • Maintain an understanding of target customer segments and the value propositions for the most strategic workflows/products/services.
  • Develop messaging and content tailored to key personas, audience segments and channels.
    • Apply knowledge of suppliers and the life sciences industry to leverage the whole of Avantor's solutions and capabilities for measurable results.
    • Provide strategic direction to cross-functional partners including the in-house and external creative services and digital teams.
    • Collaborate with strategic marketing, commercial and portfolio teams to integrate inputs into high-performing campaigns.
    • Monitor and report progress against targets/metrics for overall campaign results. Develop actionable insights to address gaps or resistance.
  • Support concept development, content creation, and design for marketing materials, digital assets, and trade collateral that effectively communicate product value to customers.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$102,200.00 - $170,300.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
