This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role ideal for someone with strong customer service skills and a passion for healthcare support. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, helping with registration, insurance verification, and payment collection. Position: Patient Access Technician Location: Loehmann's Plaza - Virginia Beach, VA Schedule: Self-scheduling (6, 8, or 10-hour shifts) \| Must work 3 weekend shifts/month Hours: Open availability between 9:30 AM - 8:30 PM, 7 days/week Key Responsibilities: * Greet and check in patients for urgent care and health center visits * Register patients using Eclipses and Clockwise MD * Verify insurance via Change Healthcare * Collect co-payments using PayEasy * Use Cerner/PowerChart and FirstNet for EMR and urgent care tracking * Support both scheduled appointments and walk-in urgent care patients * Assist with overflow registration when needed Required Skills: * Strong computer proficiency * Excellent customer service (think Chick-fil-A level!) * Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment * Reliability and flexibility to work required shifts Why this position? * Opportunity to transition to a permanent role * Strong internal mobility and career growth * Supportive team environment with great benefits If you're looking for a meaningful role in healthcare where you can make a daily impact and grow your career, we'd love to hear from you!
