Information Systems Senior* Section* Manager Location: Honolulu, HI, On-site,1 remote day after 6-month period Reports To: Director of Information Systems Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract to Hire We are seeking a strategic and experienced Information Systems Senior Section Manager to lead a team responsible for supporting enterprise IT systems, including data warehouse operations, document management, reporting platforms, and analytics tools. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of enterprise technology environments. While deep data expertise is not required, familiarity with data governance and data warehouse concepts is preferred. The manager will serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that IT solutions align with organizational goals and deliver value across departments. Key Responsibilities * Lead and mentor a team of five IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. * Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to support professional development. * Ensure team operations align with organizational policies, standards, and strategic objectives. * Oversee the administration and support of enterprise platforms including SQL-based databases, Oracle systems, and reporting tools such as Tableau. * Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance. * Support the implementation and maintenance of document management and analytics solutions. * Act as a primary point of contact for business units, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language. * Present project updates, system capabilities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. * Collaborate with departments to understand needs and deliver effective IT solutions. * Manage departmental and cross-functional projects from planning through execution. * Supervise 5 direct reports * Oversee vendor relationships, including contract management, performance tracking, and roadmap alignment. * Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal governance standards. Qualifications Education & Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * Minimum 3 years of management experience in IT or related functions. * At least 5 years of experience working with enterprise IT systems. * Experience in financial services is a plus. Preferred Technical Knowledge: * Familiarity with SQL databases and Oracle-based systems. * Understanding of data governance and data warehouse principles. * Experience with reporting platforms such as Tableau. * Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Preferred Skills & Abilities: * Exceptional communication and presentation skills. * Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure. * Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and organizational effectiveness.
