This role will report to the AVP Cybersecurity at RapidScale and will oversee strategic initiatives focused on both technical security and compliance with audit standards. Key compliance frameworks include HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and PCI DSS. This role will plan, organize, monitor, and oversee cybersecurity initiatives to meet defined business specifications. Programs/projects will also include management of preparation for and execution of various audits. The role will ensure that sequencing and dependencies are monitored and managed and escalate deviations from plans and commitments. The role will also include financial management and tracking activities for these programs and the department.

This role operates within a matrixed organization and collaborates across teams to align RapidScale's cybersecurity posture with Cox Communications' requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and partnership in the execution of cybersecurity activities.
  • Communicate and escalate issues identified in key initiatives related to requirements, activities and target dates.
  • Resolve issues of complex and diverse scope.
  • Develop deliverables within compliance with approved methodology requirements.
  • Communicate a clear vision of project objectives and motivate the project team and/or delivery system to achieve them.
  • Organize work into manageable work packages or phases and determine an effective approach to completing the work.
  • Develop accurate estimates for effort, budget, and schedule.
  • Analyze risks, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action.
  • Provide tracking and reporting on progress to plan, cost, and schedule reporting, and change control.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, both within IT as well as external business stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial aspects of initiatives, including budget tracking and variance analysis.
  • Proactively manage changes to baselined scope, schedule, and cost variables, communicating impacts.
  • Manage vendor relations and procurement related to the project requirements.
  • Support the development of key reporting metrics and executive presentations to make sure there is awareness and support of our programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership and finance on annual budget planning.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline (i.e. Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications) and 6 years' experience in a related field (i.e. program/project management.)
    • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years of experience managing Technology, Security, or Operations projects.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and mentoring skills.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, complex technology programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred

  • At least one security or control related certification - CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA.
  • Background in professional services, audit, or consulting.
  • Ability to distill complex issues and tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable making decisions under uncertainty and competing priorities.


USD 119,600.00 - 199,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $119,600.00 - $199,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
