What We're Looking For:

Join Iridium as a Program Controller and play a key role on our Project Assurance team! In this position, you'll guide program managers and teams on cost and schedule processes, support program planning and status updates, and help identify key interdependencies. What You'll Do:
    Create and maintain weekly status for complex project schedules including critical path analysis, milestone variance, look ahead, and baseline vs. actual reports
  • Perform budget and schedule process audits to ensure compliance
  • Create and maintain weekly project status for complex budgets including baseline vs. actual costs, variance analysis, expense authorizations, purchase order closures, etc.
  • Provide initial recommendations to Project Manager identifying budget and schedule risks for the project
  • Generate weekly/monthly/quarterly project status slides in support of program reviews
  • Gather portfolio performance data for projects, analyze the data, and report results
  • Monitor the progress of the portfolio regarding project plans, budget, and cost tracking, customize reports, resource management as well as capacity management
  • Assist in the development of workflow diagrams and other visuals to convey project status and processes
  • Create and maintain project baselines
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization on all matters related to project (project plan, risk analysis, issues, action items, scope definition, assumptions, and gap analysis)
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical major or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the Aerospace or Telecommunications fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Power BI and Visio
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information and ideas to others
  • Have confidence and be able to easily build meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team
  • Must be able to prioritize your tasks, be self-aware enough to identify and correct mistakes, and not be afraid to ask for help when needed
  • Be active in seeking out ways to improve yourself and gain new knowledge, and be enthusiastic in sharing knowledge with others
We'll also need you to:
  • This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of that U.S. government contract, applicants for this position must be U.S. citizens
  • Be willing and able to be on-call to support time-sensitive program/project issues
  • Be able to travel up to 10%
Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
