This Sr. Administrative Business Partner will provide organizational and administrative support for the Field Medical Team. This candidate is responsible for managing a wide range of complex administrative duties with a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Regularly engages with key stakeholders, providing proactive business support and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, high-visibility, and high-impact environment. Collaborates closely with Field Medical Regional Therapeutic Area Directors, Field Medical Regional Medical Directors, Field Medical Medical Executive Directors, Field Medical Medical Science Liaisons, and Field Medical Operations and Administrative Business Partner Teams, to ensure seamless and effective support across Field Medical. This individual will also engage with various stakeholders across the CMG organization.

The opportunity:

  • Calendaring for LT Partner /Eco/Team meetings, Business Reviews, Customer Engagements, Squad meetings, Check-ins (1:1s), group meetings

  • Systems & Tools: Regularly update resources with significant downstream impact to ensure accuracy of & access to key employee data

  • Distribution Lists/Organizational Charts: Responsible for in-depth updates and monitoring of multiple team organizational distribution lists, aligning with Leadership on changes

  • Information repositories: Maintain organized shared Drives and Eco/Team operational documents

  • Policies & Processes: Stay updated/current of policies/procedures to answer questions or other inquiries from LT

  • Event Planning & Execution: Handle logistics for ecosystem/LT/National Team meetings including sourcing, contracting, rooming lists, registration, logistics, surveys, group activities, dinners, budget, invoice payment

  • Manage candidate/interview process ensuring candidates and interviewer availability, coordinating interview panel scheduling, preparing candidate interview packet, collecting feedback, partnering with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Manager throughout the process

  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Responsible for ensuring ordering of equipment and connecting 1:1 with new hire after orientation. Request equipment pick up for offboarding and ensure Manager has filled out Field Medical PPM Form

  • Purchasing: MyBuy/PO/SOW execution (as appropriate and keeping budget in mind)

  • Provide temporary coverage for other ABPs across CE as needed

Who You Are:

  • 5-7 years of experience in administrative, operations, or project management roles; biotech/pharma industry preferred.

  • Skilled in supporting senior leaders, multitasking, prioritizing independently, and coordinating team workflows.

  • Strong collaborator with a team-first mindset; shares information across functions to drive collective success.

  • Trusted with confidential information; exercises sound judgment and maintains high accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Expert in Google Suite, managing shared drives, complex scheduling (across time zones), and departmental tools like cSuite.

  • BS/BA degree is preferred by not required; familiarity with Genentech's organization and culture is a plus.

Onsite presence, on our South San Francisco campus, is expected for at least 3 days a week.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $77,900 - $144,700 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
