OverviewMicrosoft is "all in" on open source and open source AI models. Open datasets, open source AI models, open source software, and standards collaborations are fueling the current AI revolution. The Open Source, Standards, Open Machine Learning & Data (OSSOM - pronounced "Awesome") team has an immediate need for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) focused on scaling our operations and driving internal and external policies on open technology. This role presents a unique opportunity to help Microsoft achieve its goals in AI while continuing its firm commitment to open ecosystems. The OSSOM team is a small group of highly motivated, deeply curious professionals who enjoy learning from each other through collaboration, and a shared commitment to legal innovation. As the TPM, OSSOM you will help Microsoft navigate and succeed in this open environment and play a vital role in building tools and designing processes that shape the future of legal practice in these areas. ResponsibilitiesImplementing and maintaining short to medium term software solutions into our programs to remove drudgery and increase efficiency for clients and legal. Partnering with engineering to scale our interim solutions into broader Microsoft tooling that enables Microsoft to engage in open source, standards, open Machine Learning, and responsible data use for AI training at scale. Working closely with our legal professionals to scale programs in the Intellectual Property Group, focused on open source, data usage, open source AI, and standards. Working with our team to understand, analyze, and evaluate our systems and processes to catch edge cases and increase client understanding and compliance. Designing and building experiences that account for multiple perspectives across groups or divisions, identify gaps, and reduce complexity in the human and technical processes that smother scale in our legal programs. |
