3D Systems Healthcare is seeking a dynamic Product Development Manager to spearhead our medical device product development team, driving both high-impact external customer projects and cutting-edge internal initiatives focused on patient-matched medical devices utilizing advanced additive manufacturing technologies. This dual-impact role combines strategic team leadership with hands-on project contribution, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed customer expectations. You'll collaborate daily with an elite network of design surgeons, development engineers, quality specialists, regulatory experts, marketing professionals, and senior leadership teams. This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do




  • Execute the strategic roadmap and tactical plan to ensure product objectives and deliverables are met.
  • Mentor, manage, and guide a team of high performing engineers and technicians through product development processes and design controls, foster professional development of staff, and cultivate a success orientated, highly accountable team with foundation in 3D Systems' vision and values.
  • Partner and collaborate cross-functionally (product management, sales, research, engineering, clinical, manufacturing, and regulatory) to move new features, technology and products through product development and into the market.
  • Develop and maintain product development and design transfer procedures.
  • Manage the portfolio of active development projects.
  • Participate in customer project meetings and lead efforts to translate and understand customer requirements.
  • Ensure the successful design or technical transfer of new products into production.
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing and prioritization of projects.
  • Report on project status and escalate project risks where appropriate.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related scientific discipline
  • Proven experience leading medical device product development teams, with demonstrated hands-on leadership and technical management resulting in successful product commercialization
  • Demonstrated expertise in building, leading, and coaching high-performing, cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of innovation and delivering exceptional results
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical specifications in mathematical or diagram form while managing multiple abstract and concrete variables simultaneously
  • Results-driven mindset with exceptional adaptability and execution capabilities
  • History of innovative problem-solving with consistently successful outcomes
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly across various audiences and settings
  • Unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced computer proficiency with expertise in creating and navigating sophisticated project plans, business case models, and executive-level customer presentations



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related scientific discipline
  • Experience with additive manufacturing technologies and 3D printing applications in medical device development
  • FDA regulatory experience with Class II/III medical devices, including 510(k) submissions or PMA processes
