Position Summary:
As Management Analyst, you will support NAVSEA with financial and project management support. The Management Analyst must be familiar with Navy systems and processes and will be supporting Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT)'s Code 34, located in Newport, RI.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Support Project Management tasking to include maintaining management plans, tasking records, and cost estimates.
- Maintain project forecasts to support objectives, requirements, schedule, risks, and funding.
- Develop and refine Department business processes.
- Maintain planning data and structures in Navy ERP or other NAVSEA information systems
- Analyze project requirements, schedules, and plans.
- Monitor project and organizational financial execution.
- Provide management reports
- Prepare monthly spending reports.
- Prepare funding documentation.
- Create and maintain milestone documentation, briefs, and reports
- Provide technical writing support to include technical documentation, graphics, briefs, roadmaps, and reports.
- Capture meeting minutes and compile action items to be presented to stakeholders.
- Maintain department briefs and presentations
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.
- At least four (4) to five (5) years of relevant professional experience providing management support functions such as operations research analysis, or financial/cost analysis.
- At least one (1) year of this experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD).
- Proficiency with productivity software such as Adobe Acrobat, as well as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project.
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with contractor, government, and active-duty military personnel.
Preferred Experience:
- Master's degree in a business or technical field.
- At least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience.
- Most or all experience gained in a NAVSEA, U.S. Navy, or other DoD environment.
- Proficiency with:
- Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP)
- Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
- NUWC Automated Funding Document Acceptance system (AFDA)

- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
