Job Summary
#CA-DS Experienced professional who performs a variety of duties related to the overall efficiency of the Patient Billing and business office. Involves technology-based analysis of business practices, processes and problems; developing solutions which may involve process design, data analytics and implementing policy or procedural changes; creating specifications for systems to meet requirements; validating requirements against needs; designing details of automated systems; developing user interface design; planning and executing unit integration and end-user acceptance testing; may develop training materials for system implementation. May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues. - Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a combination of experience, education and/or training required.
- Several years of previous experience in a similar role/environment required.
- Experience working with healthcare information systems required.
- Billing and accounts receivable experience analysis/management experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital billing and professional billing, third party carriers, and self-pay program guidelines to develop and execute data analysis to determine which data elements and reporting methods will best suit the needs of management.
- Participation in an implementation of an activity or strategy in a department, hospital or system environment.
- Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and apply new and upgraded computerized systems to job responsibilities.
- Facilitates and monitors planned organizational change strategies, under direction.

Preferred Qualifications
- Related experience in business systems analysis or a similar role.
- Experience in documenting system requirements, defining scope and objectives, and creating system specifications to guide development and implementation.
- Academic institution or large integrated health system experience preferred.
- Revenue cycle information systems or system implementation team experience on complex projects and/or application development is preferred.
- Experience working with interfaced/integrated multi-vendor applications preferred.
- Experience in managing and analyzing billing and accounts receivable processes.
- Proven ability to review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to develop systems solutions aligned with business strategies.
- Demonstrated success functioning as a liaison between IT and business users, requiring both technical and business expertise.
- Ability to contribute to moderately complex projects, working both independently and collaboratively.
- Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions, and related areas of IT.
- Strong skills and knowledge of methodologies associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow and architecture.
- Knowledge of quality tools and experience in business or clinical process improvement initiatives.
