Responsibilities Position is responsible for management of the Environmental Services Department. Responsible for the quality, efficiency and cost effective daily operation of environmental services for the hospital. Performs all work in accordance with the mission and values of OHH. Develops annual goals and objectives for environmental services consistent with the strategic plan and mission of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital Monitors productivity and finanacial performance reports and manage within established budget and performance criteria. Recommends staffing adjustments as workload volume changes to maintain quality standards and patient satisfaction, and to operate within established performance standards. Assists in developing operating budget and makes recommendations for capital budget. Develops, implements and reviews department policies and procedures insuring compliance to regulatory standards, health department regulations and all other agencies. Meets regularly with staff to communicate hospital and departmental information. Works with all hospital department management personnel to assure effective coordination of services. Actively seeks information that pertains to the overall functioning of the department within the hospital with regards to administrative and organizational activities. Participates on hospital committees and serves as the environmental services liaison with all members of the health care team. Collaborates in the development of performance improvement teams to insure quality services. Determines employee training needs and plans monthly inservice for staff. * Ensures department orientation is provided and comptency levels demonstrated by all staff. Qualifications Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of housekeeping management experience required, preferably in a hospital setting. Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Working Knowledge: Must have current knowledge of cleaning procedures, including isolation cleaning, checkout cleaning, spray buffing, carpet shampooing, wally washing and canister vacuum operations. Knowledge and familiarity with chemical use and dilution rates. Every team member at OHH plays an integral role in our patients' experience.
