Desktop Support Engineer

Operational Responsibilities

• Provide day to day system administration of enterprise applications, and client hardware.
• Solve complex issues escalated by Help Desk or other staff.
• Assist other IT staff as necessary to meet project and Credit Union needs.
• Evaluate and implement creative ideas to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Design and implement new applications, technologies, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Active Directory and Office 365.
• Create, engineer, and maintain complex GPO's and other systems to reduce manual processes and procedures.
• Ensure proper adherence to credit union standards.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews for modified and new systems.
• Meet with end users to define system goals, identify, and resolve system issues.
• Manage complex software and hardware deployment projects.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Create systems specifications, diagrams, and documentation for all computing systems and procedures.
• Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

Proven experience in implementing server and/or client software, server and infrastructure hardware, network hardware and basic programming, and other infrastructure type systems. (required)
5+ years related experience (required)
