Overview:
Drives HR projects and programs across the employee life cycle, including career pathways and job descriptions, onboarding and offboarding, policy implementation, reporting, and compliance across multistate and multinational environments in collaboration with the HR Operations Manager. Strong communication skills with all levels in the firm and high attention to detail. Anticipates job expectations and collaborates with the HR Operations Manager to drive continuous improvement and project delivery excellence throughout the firm by identifying and adopting best practices, maintaining a proactive sense of the business' needs.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and audits policies, processes, and procedures and recommends updates or enhancements, including the standardization of HR processes
- Collaborates in the development of, revision and implementation of HR related documents, policies and forms to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Collaborates with the HR Operations Manager and leadership to create, update and maintain job descriptions and career pathway mapping
- Edits job descriptions and maintains job classifications with attention to detail
- Supports the firm's annual job role promotion process with the HR Operations Manager, including audits, process administration and partnering with leadership to evaluate roles
- Monitors and proactively reacts to HR metrics and trends, such as analyzing new hire and turnover data, to identify patterns and recommend solutions, in consultation and collaboration with Talent leaders
- Conducts new hire orientations and supports onboarding process, including auditing workflows for improvements in collaboration with onboarding team
- Oversees I-9 processing in collaboration with new hires and local admins
- Manages the processes of departing employees, including exit interviews, paperwork and coordination with IT
- Creates HRIS reports and conducts regular audits of HRIS data to ensure data accuracy
- Responds to employee inquiries pertaining to company policies and procedures
- Works to build collaborative and effective relationships with leaders and staff to provide HR guidance and support
- Assists HR Operations Manager in compensation matters and processes, and may assist in articulating the firm's total compensation plan to employees and leadership
- Assists in tracking legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions
- May collaborate in corrective action support with designated HR team members
- Participates in committees, special projects and seeks additional responsibilities in collaboration with Talent Team to impact the employee life cycle in a positive manner
- Stays current with overall human resources trends and best practices and provide feedback to HR management
- Travel may be required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or related degree
- Typically with 5+ years of HR experience
- Experience in the use of HRIS systems (e.g. Workday), reporting and HR data management
- Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including job descriptions, onboarding and offboarding, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, compensation practices, federal and state respective employment laws
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Ability to identify and provide input to other team members as well as other departments to ensure firm needs are met and objectives are obtained
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize work
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines and balance multiple projects at expected quality
- In Office Days Requirement: 3 days required in the Dallas office.
