Job Summary:

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to optimize the performance and reliability of equipment and facilities. This role involves collaborating with maintenance teams, engineers, and other departments to ensure timely and effective maintenance interventions.

Schedule/Hours:

1st Shift: 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules and plans to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians and other stakeholders to ensure resources are available for planned activities.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, reports, and compliance records.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations during maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support project planning and execution.
  • Review and prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency and impact on operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of maintenance processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. High School Diploma OR GED equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a similar role - food processing facility experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and preventive maintenance strategies
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, food processing facility preferred
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
