Summary:

To oversee and support the daily activities of the Plant Mechanics, I&E Department and the Plant Maintenance Group. Ensure Preventative Maintenance and environmental regulatory requirements are completed in a timely manner and documented. Build job scope for future projects and assist with budgetary planning. Manage financial obligations for these departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Plans, organizes, and supervises the maintenance work including Mechanics and I&E Techs.
  • Develops standards and guidelines for staff requirements.
  • Evaluates, trains, and develops staff.
  • Initiates implementation and oversees financial requirements, safety and productivity for direct reports.
  • Prepares and supports required WBSs for maintenance and capital projects.
  • Ensures safety, cost reduction, and productivity remain priorities in completing work assignments.
  • Maintains liaison and coordinates work with other departmental sections and divisions as well as with public and private organizations.
  • Accountable for district regulatory, safety, and budgetary requirements.


Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* 8+ years industry experience required
* Strong commitment to safety, environmental, and regulatory programs and leading by example
* Previous supervisory experience preferred
* Knowledge in compression, pipeline and construction operations.
* Manager must live within 45 minutes of the plant


Preferred Skills:
* Experience in Microsoft Office, Plant DCS and SCADA
* Excellent analytical skills
* Strong team and customer focus orientation
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Operation of Sulfur Recovery Unit


Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
* Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
* Driving, walking, and standing frequently
* Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
* Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
* Occasional overnight travel may be required
