Moog's Military Aircraft Group is hiring a Programs Director - Aerospace. This role sits in Mineral Wells, Texas and reports to the General Manager for our Mission Systems Division.

In this role you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary aerospace programs, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and company objectives. You will drive program performance, and support business growth through effective project governance and stakeholder engagement.

Here's what else you will be doing on a day-to-day basis:

  • Lead a team of program and project managers managing domestic and global programs on the defense and civil markets.

  • Oversee full program lifecycle planning through execution and delivery.

  • Represent the company in engagements with strategic customers in both civil and defense sectors.

  • Develop and maintain program management processes, tools, and performance metrics.

  • Support contract negotiations, compliance, and lifecycle management.

  • Collaborate with business development, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and finance to ensure program alignment.

  • Facilitate program reviews, customer status meetings, and internal executive briefings.

  • Ensure compliance with government and industry standards including ITAR, DFARS, and FAA regulations.

  • Execute, monitor and control the overall schedule, cost deliverables, risk management, change control processes and scope to meet or exceed internal/external stakeholders and customer expectations.

  • Responsible for managing project resources resolving conflicts and constraints proactively.

  • Work with Sales/BD to review imminent opportunities. This includes reviewing technical solutions, design specifications, preparing a statement of work, providing scope/cost/schedule estimates.

  • Participate in strategic planning process including advising management of new changes/developments that will affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.

To be considered for this role, here's what you will need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Aerospace, Business, or related field.

  • 10+ years of program/project management experience in the aerospace or defense industry.

  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing multi-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated experience managing military (DoD) programs; additional experience in civil (commercial aviation) a plus.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

  • Strong knowledge of aerospace development processes, regulatory frameworks, and customer requirements.

  • Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM), risk management, defense acquisition process, DFARS and program controls.

  • Proven ability to manage complex contracts, schedules, and stakeholder relationships.

  • Ability to access U.S. Export Controlled Information.

It would also be great if you had:

  • Master's degree (MBA or M.S. in Engineering, Program Management, or related field).

  • Experience working with major OEMs and government agencies (e.g., DoD, FAA).

  • Background in systems engineering or product development.

  • Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.

Salary Range Transparency:

Mineral Wells, TX $170,000.00-$195,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
